From 8.30am to 4.00 pm Saturday and 8.30 am to 3.00 pm Sunday.

Items covered for recurve and compound will include:

• effective coaching skills
• technique analysis and refinement
• getting equipment to work well and then optimise it
• managing the mental process
• practice techniques
• rules you need to know

and

Archery research findings on:

• bow cant
• arrow optimisation
• foot position

In addition to qualified Archery Instructors and Coaches, any archers (current members) interested in becoming an Archery Instructor may also register.

Please bring your archery gear and also your kit box for bow tuning and maintenance. Sunday morning has been allocated for shooting practice and observation of archers shooting. The Sunday afternoon shall be allocated to feedback and analysis techniques.

SQAS will provide tea/coffee. BYO lunch. Samford has a variety of food outlets.

Seminar Cost (for the 2 days): $20 for Coaches and Archery Instructors

SQAS and AQ are subsidising this workshop as a small way of saying thank you to coaches and instructors who give so much to the sport.

In addition Archery Queensland is providing travel support for the Seminar for up to 12 participants from the State of Queensland. This funding shall include expense claim reimbursement for travel costs of 40c/km up to a maximum of $400 for those who complete the seminar. All claims must reach AQ within 21 days after the course date to be payable. Funding is limited. To apply for funding support from AQ you must get pre-approval so please email Strafford Stark at shstark3@gmail.com.
